Calcined Lime (Quicklime)

Calcined lime, also known as quicklime, is produced by heating limestone (calcium carbonate) at temperatures around 900 to 1100°C. In this process, carbon dioxide is released from calcium carbonate, yielding a material primarily composed of calcium oxide (CaO). Calcined lime, as an important alkaline material, has wide applications in the steel, chemical, metallurgy, construction, and water treatment industries.
