Calcined Dolomite

Akhtar Sepehr Khalij Pars Company is one of the main suppliers of calcined dolomite in Iran; a refractory and alkaline material that, with high resistance to heat and corrosion, is used in the steel, metallurgy, chemical, and construction industries.

Description

Calcined Dolomite

Calcined dolomite is a product obtained by heating dolomite rock at high temperatures (around 900 to 1200°C). Its main components are calcium and magnesium carbonates, and after calcination, it becomes one of the widely used materials in the steel, metallurgy, and refractory industries. Calcined dolomite, due to its high alkalinity and excellent thermal and chemical resistance, plays a key role in neutralizing corrosive materials and enhancing the durability of refractories.

Features

  • High thermal resistance and stability at extreme temperatures
  • Alkaline properties and ability to neutralize acidic environments
  • Good mechanical strength and wear resistance
  • Can be used as a raw material for producing magnesia- and calcium-based refractories
  • High efficiency in metallurgical processes

Applications

  • As a refractory material in lining steel furnaces and metallurgical industries
  • Used in steel production as a flux to remove impurities
  • Application in the chemical industry for producing magnesia and lime
  • Used in glass and ceramic industries
  • Application in cement production and durable construction materials
